Government Polytechnic College, Patiala (GPC Patiala) was established in 1991 by Govt. of Punjab, in order to provide diploma level technical education to students of the region. The campus is situated on the Patiala-Rajpura road just 3kms from the local Bus Stand/ Railway Station. The institution has beautiful administrative block, hostel, staff colony and well maintained lawns and the grounds spread over an area of 12 acres. 

ਸਰਕਾਰੀ ਬਹੁਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਸਥਾਪਨਾ 1991 ਵਿੱਚ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਇਸ ਖੇਤਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ  ਨੂੰ ਡਿਪਲੋਮਾ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੀ ਤਕਨੀਕੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਕੈਂਪਸ ਸਥਾਨਕ ਬੱਸ ਸਟੈਂਡ/ਰੇਲਵੇ ਸਟੇਸ਼ਨ ਤੋਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ 3 ਕਿਲੋਮੀਟਰ ਦੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਤੇ ਪਟਿਆਲਾ-ਰਾਜਪੁਰਾ ਰੋਡ ਤੇ ਸਥਿਤ ਹੈ | ਸੰਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕੀ ਬਲਾਕ, ਹੋਸਟਲ, ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਕਲੋਨੀ ਅਤੇ 12 ਏਕੜ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਫੈਲੇ ਲਾਅਨ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਦਾਨ ਹਨ।
